• Provides support to Francophone communities for their economic development projects

Serves as a two-fold department by providing support and advisory services in economic development and for technical services

Economic Development

• Provides technical and professional advisory services and training to enhance the overall management skills and opportunities of the Wabun Area First Nations
• Encourages and assists members to establish and expand businesses
• Promotes and supports sustainable development that will build each community's economic strength

• Waterfront feasibility study and master plan to determine the viability of potential projects such as establishing a marina, an RV park, a fish hatchery, and an events centre, made possible by $82,000 funding as announced in Jul 2018 from the federal government provided through FedNor's Northern Ontario Development Program
• Rec'd FedNor funding in Aug 2019 of $120,000 towards tourism efforts; community to install new docks and renovate the fishing tournaments' weigh-in area; develop event-related software for online registrations, payment processing and tournament information; and purchase equipment and infrastructure upgrades
