- Youth Garden Program - in partnership with the Lakehead District Shool Board, high school students aged 15-18 are hired for 6 weeks in July and August to build employment skills and get co-op credits for running one of the Urban Garden sites and working with local farmers
- Academic Year Program (AYP) - a continuation of the Urban Youth Garden, 5-8 positions are available for part-time weekend work, finishing and processing the harvests, working on farms, assisting at soup kitchens and commencing the start-up for the next growing season (seed ordering, crop planning)

- Consultation for sponsoring employers
- $1000 scholarship upon completion of academic upgrading, for registered apprentices younger than 25 years who left school before completing the necessary academic requirements for registering in a trade, who are committed to achieving the necessary academic requirements within one year, and who demonstrate an interest in the skilled trades
- Allows college students to receive apprenticeship training while earning a diploma
- Registrants must meet apprenticeship requirements as well as all eligibility criteria for the specific college program (see individual listings)
