Short Description
- Provides the Apprenticeship Incentive Grant (AIG), a taxable cash grant of $1,000 per year/level, up to a maximum of $2,000 per person, available to registered apprentices once they have successfully finished their first or second year/level (or equivalent) of an apprenticeship program in one of the Red Seal trades
- Provides the Apprenticeship Incentive Grant for Women (AIG-W), a taxable cash grant of $3,000 per year/level, up to a maximum amount of $6,000 per person, to support women in entering, progressing and completing their training in Red Seal trades where women are underrepresented (*Baker, Cook, Hairstylist, Landscape-Horticulturist, Partsperson not eligible trades)
- Provides the Apprenticeship Completion Grant (ACG), a taxable cash grant of $2,000 to registered apprentices who have completed their training to help them become certified journeypersons in designated Red Seal Trades, which include:
- Agricultural Equipment Technician
- Appliance Service Technician
- Auto Body and Collision Technician
- Automotive Refinishing Technician
- Automotive Service Technician
