• Helps parents and caregivers develop stronger relationships with their child

Family Connections

• Helps parents and caregivers to understand and manage their teen's emotions and behaviours
• Offered in a group setting

Tripe P (Positive Parenting Program)

• Provides parents and caregivers with the skills and knowledge to build positive behviours in their children and gain confidence in their parenting abilities

Parent Support Groups

• Offers support groups to parents to provide them with education and community connections
• Provides a monthly Down Syndrome Parent Support Group

Supervised Access Program

• Facilitates access between children and their parents or caregiver through visits or exchanges
• Offers a safe environment where visits and exchanges can take place

Offers a mutual support group and information on learning to live with Parkinson's disease

Operates a mutual support group for injured workers and their families

Provides the following Injured Worker Outreach Services (IWOS):

• Offers advice and assistance on how to handle injured worker claims
• Provides information about the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) policies and procedures
• Provides peer support and counselling
• Advises workers about other agencies that offer help to injured workers
• Participates in law reform to improve the system
• Provides public education about the needs and problems of injured workers and workers compensation issues

Also coordinates meetings in Ear Falls upon request

MS Knowledge Network

Online and telephone support through MS Navigators who provide:

• Information, education, advocacy and support for individuals living with or affected by Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
• Access to one-to-one Peer Support, Self Help and Support Groups - applications and referral to appropriate groups or programs
• Quality of Life Grant: equipment funding information, eligibility and application
• Information and education on disability forms such as Canada Pension Plan - Disability benefits
• Information on fundraising initiatives, such as MS Walk or Bike; additional programs, services and events
• Information regarding research into the cause and cure of MS

Support for persons with Myasthenia Gravis (MG) and their caregivers

• information on MG
• social media including Facebook
• education for MG patients, the general public and health care professionals
• newsletter

Support meetings

• educational and social gathering, usually including a speaker, and opportunity for those recently diagnosed to share their experiences
• in-person meetings as well videos, Facebook discussions, Zoom meetings and other social media meetings

Supports for individuals living with pre-diabetes or diabetes

Offers a diabetes management clinic to assist individuals in understanding and managing their illness

Services offered:

• Pre-diabetes clinics
• Prevention and awareness programs
• Education on diabetes (insulin, glucose and nutrition)
• Promotes understanding of diabetes management and self care (type of diabetes and relationship between nutrition, exercise, medications and stress)

Investigates the possible causes of a stroke or TIA (mini stroke) and assists with strategies to prevent an occurrence or reoccurrence of symptoms

Offers a diabetes management centre to assist individuals in understanding and managing their illness

• Education about diabetes (insulin, glucose and nutrition)
• Promotion in understanding diabetes management and self care (type of diabetes and relationship between nutrition, exercise, medications and stress)

Program services are provided through:

• Individual sessions
• Group sessions

• Walk-in clinic once per week
• Seminars, workshops and community awareness events

• Provides support to individuals of all ages living with the effects of acquired brain injury through education, public awareness, information and advocacy

Peer Support Program

• Connects individuals coping with an acquired brain injury with individuals whose life experiences involve similar situations, needs, and interests
• Provides support
• Offered for survivors, family members, and/or caregivers
• Coordinated through local brain injury associations

Therapeutic Garden Project

• Partnered with Partners In Rehab to provide a garden space and a therapeutic recreation specialist
• Supports participants in learning new skills and gaining knowledge
• Allows participants to assist with gardening tasks and talk with like-minded individuals
