- Offers free summary legal advice and information about human rights and discrimination
- Summary advice is one-time, basic legal advice about human rights under the Ontario Human Rights Code, and the federal Canadian Human Rights Act
- Will meet one-on-one, in an informal and conversational manner, with anyone who meets eligibility criteria and wishes to learn about human rights and discrimination
- Does not represent individuals on an ongoing basis, but will attempt to make referrals based on the individual's needs
- In partnership between Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC), the Ontario Federation of Indigenous Friendship Centres (OFIFC) and the Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre (TBIFC)
- Offers free summary legal advice and information about human rights and discrimination
- Eligibility
- Individuals who:
- self-identify as Indigenous, and
- live in Thunder Bay, and
- believe they have been discriminated against and are seeking summary (basic) legal advice, OR
- want to learn more about discrimination and/or human rights from a lawyer
