- Description
- Operates a transitional housing unit for women leaving the Shelter who have limited income or have incurred difficulties in finding places to rent
- Included in the rent are heat, hydro, phone, Internet and bedding/linens
- Provides fully furnished one 3-bedroom, three 2-bedroom and 2 one-bedroom apartment units with a secure entrance and security system that is monitored 24 hours a day
- Offers access to the same programs and services as all the clients have while staying at the Shelter
- Eligibility
- Women 16 years of age and older who have been physically, sexually, financially or emotionally abused and their children in need of temporary housing and ongoing support
- Application Process
- Call to make arrangements with a Transitional Housing Support Worker
- Length of stay is up to one year with longer stays pending review
