Pregnancy/Parenting Outreach Program


Description
  • Provides a harm reduction program for pregnant women and mothers/fathers with substance abuse issues
  • Supports clients with court proceedings
  • Offers advocacy with other community agencies
  • Coordinates parent education/support groups twice per month
  • Provides snacks, childcare and bus tickets for clients attending group sessions
Offers case management for individuals to learn and develop:
  • Stronger coping skills
  • Harm reduction
  • Relapse prevention strategies
  • Anger management
  • Stronger parenting skills

Eligibility
Pregnant or parenting mothers or fathers with children 6 years of age and younger
Application Process
Requires completion of Referral form online OR a completed intake via phone with Assessment Coordinator
  • Referrals from self, family members, friends, and professionals
  • Individuals must have a current 1-step TB test
  • Individuals may be required to attend a detox program prior to admission
