General Counselling


Description
  • Offers individual, marital, and family counselling to help people who suffer from a mental illness to be better equipped to handle their life circumstances
  • Provides counselling for family members as well who support  an individual facing a mental health issue
  • Provides referrals and liaises with other social services and community agencies
  • Coordinates consultations with doctors
  • Delivers presentations on topics related to mental illness and mental health promotion
  • Provides assertiveness training
  • Offers grief counselling

Individuals 16 years of age and older suffering from a mental illness/mental health issue or their family members

Referrals are accepted from self-referral, physicians, hospitals, friends, family, and police
