Description

Offers volunteer not-for-profit transportation for medical appointments, social activities and personal errands.

Will provide assistance as required by the client which may include:

  • Confirmation calls to confirm appointment date, time and scheduling
  • Escorted assistance to the appointment
  • Check in at reception to confirm appointment time
  • Assistance with shopping
  • Transport of walkers and other mobility devices including wheelchairs
  • A client travel companion is welcome (family, friend or caregiver)
  • Other special services upon request

For medical appointments, will travel to Sudbury, North Bay, Barrie, Orillia, Toronto and other long distance locations.

Eligibility
  • Seniors or individuals 18 years and older
  • Acute or chronic illness and/or have a physical disability or other needs
  • Must meet Residency Requirements

  • Call to book appointment. Self-referral.
  • All clients are required to schedule their trips in advance, two week advance notice preferred. No trip is guaranteed. Trips are booked on a first come, first served basis. A mileage compensation or trip fee applies to all transportation programs.
