Description
  • Provides volunteer opportunities throughout the year in Thunder Bay
  • Provides volunteers with on-site orientation or training session prior to the volunteer placement
  • Requires students to attend a mandatory Teens N Training course before beginning a volunteer placement with Adventures camp, Chippewa Summer Camps, or Playgrounds Programs

Spring and Summer opportunities include:
  • Adventures Camp
  • Canada Day
  • Chippewa Summer Camps
  • Playgrounds Program
  • Teddy Bears Picnic

Fall and Winter opportunities include:
  • Neighborhood Recreation Program
  • Inclusion Services
  • Skating Lessons
  • Swimming Lessons
  • 55 Plus Centre programs
Eligibility
  • Candidate youth volunteers must be minimum 13 years of age to 18 years of age and have completed grade 8 with guardian consent
  • Adult volunteers must be 18 years of age or older
Application Process
  • Volunteer application and two reference forms must be completed
  • Forms can be found on the website
  • Applications can be mailed, faxed, or dropped off at the Victoriaville Civic Centre
  • Students applying for Adventures Camp, Chippewa Summer Camps, or Playgrounds Program must complete an additional information package
