Description
  • Promotes participation in recreation for adults with disabilities
  • Offers support to individuals with disabilities in City of Thunder Bay Recreation and Culture programs at the following facilities:
    • Canada Games Complex
    • Thunder Bay 55 Plus Centre and West Thunder Community Centre 55+ programs
    • Volunteer Pool
    • Sir Winston Churchill Community Pool
    • Community Centres
    • Golf at municipal courses (Strathcona and Chapples)
  • Provides information and special resources such as newsletters, personal consultation and referral, recreation equipment loan, and library
  • Staff are adaptable to modified forms of English such as written, gestures, and gazing
Eligibility
Adults 19 years and older with any type of disability seeking recreational opportunities

Participants are required to fill out a Participant Intake Form, available on website
