Independent quasi-judicial civilian tribunal
  • functions separately from police
  • conducts hearings regarding appeals of police disciplinary penalties
  • conducts investigations and inquiries into the conduct of chiefs of police, police officers, members of police services boards, auxiliary members of a police service, special constables and municipal law enforcement officers
  • cases heard by 1-3 member panel
  • agency of Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General under Tribunals Ontario
