A public resource dedicated to the presentation, promotion and preservation of heritage and culture through exhibitions, community education and public programs

Museum features:
  • Local history gallery featuring rotating exhibitions on the Porcupine Camp, one of Canada's most important gold mining areas
  • National exhibition centre hosting travelling exhibitions from museums and galleries from across Canada
  • Offers bilingual education programs for grades one to twelve and workshops for adults and children dealing with arts and heritage themes
  • Archival collection includes over 20,000 images of the Porcupine, dating from 1908, an extensive book collection and archival material from local mines
