Child Welfare - Volunteer Driving Program
- Description
- Volunteer Drivers transport clients as part of child welfare and developmental services programs
- drivers transport children to have access with their families, children and their families to attend medical and educational appointments and to attend events that they may not have been able to otherwise
- Eligibility
- Transportation available to children and clients, Volunteer drivers are required to be ages 18 and older
Residency Requirements: Drivers can be asked to transport clients both in and outside of Renfrew County - Application Process
- All volunteers complete an application and personal information form including a criminal reference check, a child protection record check and three references. For volunteer driving, we require a recent driver's abstract, a copy of insurance ensuring $1,000,000 coverage, a valid driver's licence and a reliable vehicle.
