- Provides a four-day supply of non-perishable food to households in need of emergency assistance
- Provides perishable food (milk, eggs, bread, frozen products) and fresh produce, depending upon availability
- Operates a yard sale every Tuesday and Saturday to raise funds for the food bank
- Accepts donations of used household items for the yard sale, and financial donations (cash, cheque, electronic funds transfer), and issues receipts for income tax purposes
- Eligibility
- Individuals living in Blind River, Township of the North Shore or the Municipality of Huron Shores experiencing food insecurity due to financial difficulty
Yard Sales: No restrictions - Application Process
- Must register as a client in order to receive assistance
- Visits limited to once each calendar month unless there are special circumstances
