Public Health Nurses work with individuals and groups to plan and support healthy choices:* Healthy living programming to prevent chronic diseases through physical activity and healthy eating* Healthy Schools program to help create and maintain healthy school environments* Prevention of injuries and substance misuse* Healthy Child development support from pre-conception to school transition* Prenatal classes, breastfeeding clinics and support, parenting education* Home visits to new parents through the Healthy Babies Healthy Children program* Exchange Works, a harm reduction program, offers needle exchange services at all health unit offices* Naloxone kits available at all health unit offices
