- Offers a wide range of community-based and culturally appropriate programs and services to Métis people
- Participates in community development activities that promote cultural diversity and partnership development with other Indigenous and non-Indigenous agencies
- Addresses the needs of the Thunder Bay Métis people by administering various programs and services for them
- Provides advocacy and deals with political issues for Thunder Bay Métis Nation
- Assists individuals and families with issues such as membership and genealogy
- Provides video-conferencing suites on-site which use the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN)
- Allows psychiatrists and other health care specialists to have a remote connection to patients and clients
- Reduces the need to travel to receive care
