Description
  • Responsible for stimulating local economy and developing economic initiatives and opportunities for the community
  • Provides information, training and educational workshops to enhance employability skills
  • Responsible for development of plans for the use of traditional lands for community members
  • Works to access funding for band-owned business ventures
  • Provides coaching in areas such as business plan development and assistance in obtaining financial support for people wanting to start own business
  • Maintains local business directory

  • Aboriginal Workforce Development and Maintenance Program (AWDMP)
  • Buchanan Forest Products/Longlac Lumber Inc
  • Gamblin Project
  • Ginoo - Gaming Activities
  • Ground River Road and Bridge construction and renewal
  • Kenogami Forest Planning
  • Long Lake Dam Hydro-Electric
  • Mackett Project, an endeavor to map traditional GFN lands depicting cultural values, wildlife, and sacred and sensitive areas
  • Wind Farm Project
  • Nedaakiimenaan Inc, a newly formed partnership consisting of Aroland, Constance Lake, Ginoogaming and Long Lake #58 First Nations with a goal of building capacity in the Forest Management of the Kenogami Forest
