- Responsible for the planning, design, and operation of all municipal solid waste facilities and landfill diversion programs
- Manages municipal clean-up initiatives

- The household garbage limit is two bags per household per week. Garbage bag tags can be purchased for any extra bags. The City operates three landfills: Sudbury Landfill and Waste Diversion Site: 2870 Kingsway Hanmer Landfill and Waste Diversion Site: 900 Sanitary Landfill Rd Azilda Landfill and Waste Diversion Site: off Hwy 144 on Montee Rouleau, Azilda
