Search Agency Service

  • Offers a free energy-efficiency upgrade program to eligible Enbridge (formerly Union Gas) customers living in homes with low levels of insulation
  • United Way provides an Energy Adviser who will complete an in-home audit on eligible homes
  • Application, assessment and any necessary renovation work on the home is completed free of change to the eligible client
  • Will not affect income from government assistance programs; all upgrades are installed at no cost by authorized contractors
  • Based on the results of the assessment, may install the following:
    • basement insulation
    • wall insulation
    • attic insulation
    • up to two shower heads, kitchen/basin aerators (left for customer installation)
    • foam pipe wrap
    • programmable thermostat

Homeowners and tenants who reside in a single family, semi-detached, row or townhouse that was was built prior to 1975; requires more insulation and has a natural gas furnace, AND The applicant's name appears on the Enbridge bill, ANDMust meet the following income eligibility:
  • 1 person - $33,681 or less
  • 2 persons - $41,932 or less
  • 3 persons - $51,549 or less
  • 4 persons - $62,588 or less
  • 5 persons - $70,987 or less
  • 6 persons - $80,060 or less
  • 7 persons or more - $89,136 or less
Landlords must provide written consent for tenants to participate in the Program
