- Provides services through the guidance and partnership with Waubetek Business Development Corporation
- Provides information, training and educational workshops to enhance employability skills
- Posts employment opportunities at office and on website
- Works to access funding for Band-owned business ventures
- Provides coaching in areas such as business plan development and assistance in obtaining financial support for people wanting to start own business
- Maintains local business directory
- Assists with the development of plans for the use of traditional lands for community members
- Employment and training representatives on the FNX/WFN Human Resources Committee and the Xstrata Human Resources Committee
- A signed Impact Benefit Agreement (IBA) with Quadra FNX mining company
- A signed Participation Agreement with Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations for mining industry related activity of Xstrata Nickel in the traditional territory of Wahnapitae First Nation
- Guidance in the construction of the $4.5 million multi-purpose Centre of Excellence opened in Sept 2012

- Community is approx 50 km N of Sudbury, near Capreol on NW shores of Wanapitei Lake
- Consists of 1 main reserve with a land area of approx 10.36 sq km; may increase with the settlement of a pending land claim
- Reserve is known as Wahnapitae Indian Reserve No 11
- Completely separate from the community of Wahnapitae which is located on Hwy 17E within the city of Greater Sudbury
- First Nation name comes from "Wahnapitaeping" which means 'that place where the water is shaped like a molar tooth'
