Description
Provides services that promote physical and mental health for community members
  • Provides health awareness, education and prevention workshops and seminars
  • Coordinates clinics in the community offered by the Shkagamik-Kwe Health Centre in areas that may include Diabetes, Immunization, Sexual Health and Foot Care
  • Offers prenatal and postpartum health care
  • Updates community members about health-related issues in monthly newsletter
  • Provides a variety of health programs for children and youth including a Summer Day Camp, as well as programs for adults and families, and seniors
  • Coordinates community sports and physical activities, and social gatherings with an overall focus on healthy development of children and families
