Description
Provides education and services for the prevention and management of diabetes
  • Offers services to community members in coordination with the North Shore Tribal Council (NSTC)
  • Works to reduce the number of avoidable complications that can arise from uncontrolled diabetes
  • Advises on developing and implementing an approach to care and management of diabetes
  • Assists individuals in finding appropriate services
Provides education on diabetes prevention through:
  • One-on-one counselling
  • Home visits
  • Presentations
  • Workshops
