Sunset Country Family Health Team

  • Provides assessments of the foot and the treatment and prevention of diseases, disorders or dysfunctions of the foot by therapeutic, orthotic or palliative means
  • Provides expertise in the Wound Assessment Clinic
Services are provided for the following conditions:
  • Athletes foot
  • Bunions
  • Diabetic foot care, screening and education
  • Footwear evaluation and recommendation
  • Gait analysis
  • Injuries of the foot
  • Pathological foot care (fungal, ingrown)
  • Surgical nail removal
  • Treatment of skin conditions such as warts, corns and calluses
  • Wound care and debridement
Hours of Operation
Mon-Fri 8 am-4:30 pm
No restrictions

Residency Requirements: Also includes neighbouring First Nations communities
Application Process
  • Must have referral from health care professional
  • Requires booked appointment
Service ; Chiropodists are recognized as authorized assessors and providers by Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), Non-Insured Health Benefits-Health Canada, Veteran's Affairs, Ontario Works (OW), Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP), and Motor Vehicle Accident Insurances
