Citizens Online Police Reporting System


Description
Allows citizens to submit a police report online in the following areas:
  • Break and enter to shed or detached garage
  • Damage/mischief to property under $5000
  • Damage (not wilful)
  • Harassing phone calls
  • Lost and found property
  • Lost or stolen securities (identification)
  • Shoplifting
  • Stolen license plates
  • Theft under $5000
  • Theft from vehicle under $5000/mischief to vehicle
Note: Theft of passports and the theft of prescription drugs must be reported in person to the Thunder Bay Police

Note: Filing a false police report is a crime
Eligibility
No restrictions
Application Process
  • Online reporting available on website via lists for allowable incidents
  • Reporter will be given a police report case number and
  • Be able to print a copy of the police report to keep for own records
  • All cases will be reviewed; upon review, if further investigation is needed, the reporter may be contacted
  • Once a report is reviewed and approved, a notification will be sent to the email address provided - it is the reporter's responsibility to ensure that they are the sole recipient of this email account
