Description
Delivers medical transportation services and assistance in making medical appointment arrangements
  • Provides transportation to medical appointments within the community
  • Provides transportation from/to Garden River First Nation Reserve to any medical appointments (doctor, dentist, optometrist, specialist) outside the community
  • Provides assistance with making arrangements for any medical appointments out of town such as booking appointments, hotels, and completing applications for mileage compensation

Mon-Fri 8:30 am-12 noon, 1 pm-4:30 pm Sep-May Mon-Fri 8 am-12 noon, 12:30 pm-4:15 pm Jun-Aug
Eligibility
  • Members of Garden River First Nation living on the reserve and requiring assistance with medical transportation due to age or disability
  • Programs and services may be extended to others based on resources available and/or program/service guidelines
Application Process
  • Requires written proof of medical appointment
  • Requires 24 hour advance booking; exceptions made for emergencies
  • Advance cancellation recommended
