Provides supports and training for urban Aboriginal people seeking further training and/or employment
  • Collaborates with employers to build employment and training opportunities
  • Provides individual employment counselling
  • Conducts client employability assessments
  • Offers access to job board with current local job postings
  • Provides workshops and referrals to training programs
  • Posts job opportunities/ads on Facebook page
Provides assistance with:
  • Writing resumes and cover letters
  • Completing job applications
  • Conducting job searches
  • Improving interview skills
  • Designing and implementing an employment action plan
  • Matching job seekers with employers
Provides information about:
  • Local, provincial and national job markets
  • Small business and proposal development
  • Training opportunities
Eligibility
  • Open to all with a focus on off-reserve Indigenous individuals
  • Youth Employment Counsellor available for youth 15-29 years of age
