Due to the recent developments related to COVID-19, Beendigen's offices located in Victoriaville Mall, Syndicate Avenue, Luci Court and on Fort William First Nation will be closed effective immediately.

Beendigen is continuing to operate and provide services during this stressful time by providing shelter, telephone counselling, and crisis support.

Please note the new procedure that is in effect: when a woman comes into the isolation unit at the crisis home, she will be tested and if the test comes back negative, she can be moved into the main part of the crisis home. This will shorten the 14-day isolation period and allow to get more women into the home

  • Provides emergency shelter for women and children who require safe accommodations and are seeking refuge from abuse
  • Allows women and children to stay up to 6 weeks

  • Crisis and supportive counselling
  • Safety planning
