- Description
- Provides assistance and support to Rainy River First Nation (RRFN) community members to become gainfully-employed on a long-term basis
- Offers assistance to youth and adult clients in actively seeking employment and training opportunities
- Facilitates training workshops/sessions related to employment such as First Aid/CPR, WHMIS, Working at Heights, Smart Serve and Driver's Permit Handbook sessions and/or Drive Wise course
- Assists with employment preparation including employment skills, life skills, financial literacy, resume writing and interview skills
- Liaises with local businesses and RRFN Economic Department on behalf of clients
- Works with Ontario Works, Education and other program coordinators as required
- Monitors progress of members attending training programs
- Eligibility
- Members of Rainy River First Nations
- Youth Program: youth 16 - 24 years of age
- Adult Program: adults 25 years of age and older
