Description
Provides training to community service workers on legal information related to violence against women and on human rights
  • Uses a variety of training strategies including video-conferences, radio programs, newspaper articles and workshops
  • Provides the training for front-line workers such as drug and alcohol workers,community health workers, and domestic violence workers as well as elders in remote northern communities
Hours of Operation
Office: Mon-Fri 9 am-4 pm
Eligibility
First Nations elders and front-line workers in addictions programs, community health programs and family violence programs within the 31 First Nation communities in the Sioux Lookout District Zone
Application Process
  • Services provided at a local level in each community and by video-conferencing, radio and newspaper
  • Registration for training required
