Description
Provides a training program to increase employment skills
  • Offers the program during a 10-week course
  • Provides an hourly wage for course participants
Training program includes:

  • Career choice possibilities
  • Computer programs training
  • Employment ready skills training
  • Job readiness skills training
  • Job search assistance
  • Opportunities for job shadows/placements
  • Self-marketing techniques
Hours of Operation
Office: Mon-Fri 9 am-4 pm
Eligibility
First Nations individuals who reside within one of the 31 First Nation communities in the Sioux Lookout District Zone and are:
  • Unemployed
  • Aboriginal with status
  • In possession of a minimum of Grade 9 education
  • A resident of an eligible First Nation community dependent upon funding
Application Process
Interested applicants must:
  • Submit a current resume and
  • Complete 2 funding applications
