- Description
- Provides educational services and supports to elementary, junior and high school students living on reserve
- Provides assistance and the use of computers, copier and fax machine for updating resumes and related school needs
- Receives support and assistance from Bimose Tribal Council, Education Authority in developing and delivering the education program and system in the community
- Administers the Harvey Redsky Memorial School (formerly called Ojibway Heritage School)
- Provides academic and social guidance/counselling to students attending high school outside the community
- Students attend high schools in the Keewatin Patricia District, Kenora Catholic District and Sioux Lookout
- Assists students with course registration
- Coordinates boarding and/or transportation arrangements
- Acts as a liaison between students, schools, school boards and parents
- Provides counselling and guidance in choosing post-secondary field of studies
- Provides assistance for applying/filling out application forms for colleges and universities
- Provides financial support to post secondary students both on and off the reserve
- Eligibility
- Members of Shoal Lake 40 First Nation 4 years of age and older
Post Secondary Program- Must be continuing education at a post-secondary institution

- Construction of new school started in summer of 2020; new school building equipped with classrooms, library, cafeteria, multi-purpose rooms, a large gymnasium, staff offices, meeting rooms and support spaces; school grounds will also include a soccer field, basketball court, playgrounds, outdoor cooking area and outdoor educational areas
