LEAP Emergency Financial Assistance

Office is currently closed to the public and we will begin making appointments after April 6th, 2020
  • Provides financial assistance to individuals who are in arrears with Public Utilities Commission (PUC) Distribution
  • Offers one-time assistance up to $500 towards arrears (paid directly to the utility company)
Hours of Operation
Mon-Fri 9 am-4 pm
  • Low-income individuals
  • Must be an existing customer of the utility
  • Individuals who are in arrears or have a disconnection notice
  • Account must be in applicants name
Note: Individuals who are not able to sustain the energy costs following assistance will not be eligible

Application Process
  • Contact agency to start the application process
The following documentation will be required:
  • Current utility bill
  • Disconnection notice (if applicable)
  • Two pieces of Identification for the applicant and one piece for all other household members
  • Copy of rental receipt, lease or mortgage document
  • Proof of household income for all member 18 years of age and older
  • Bank statement from the most recent month
