Description
Offers seniors living in their own home the opportunity to have a Public Education Officer visit to educate on fire safety, and check and test fire safety equipment
The Education Officer will:
  • Check and test fire safety equipment, this may include: smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, extinguishers, etc.
  • Review potential fire hazards in the home
  • Discuss and complete a home fire escape plan
  • Fill out recommendations for the homeowner with a complete checklist
  • Provide the homeowner with a Project ASAP fire safety gift bag

The visits can be scheduled to be a yearly recurring check in to each home

Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm, by appointment only

Age Requirements: Ages: 65 year(s) and up;

Call to make an appointment, or get a referral from a community agency or healthcare provider
