Support Services

  • A national, community-based organization of volunteers
  • Funds research on all types of cancer
  • Provides support for people living with cancer, family members and friends
  • Offers comprehensive and credible information on cancer, risk reduction and treatment
  • Offers presentations to community groups focusing on Seven Steps to Health general risk reduction
  • Participates in community displays to promote healthy living and distribute cancer-related information
Peer Support
  • Offers telephone support for those who would like to talk to someone who has had a similar experience
Wheels of Hope Transportation Program
  • Provides transportation assistance to clients who must travel either to their local or out-of-town cancer-related appointments

Office: Mon-Fri 9 am-5 pm
Individuals living with cancer and their families and friends
Application Process
  • Referrals from Algoma Regional Cancer Program, physicians, or self-referral
  • Volunteers must complete an application form
