- Offers programs and services to assist individuals to develop the essential skills to achieve greater employability through further education
- Provides literacy, numeracy and essential skills services
- Supports in clarifying, upgrading goals
- Develops training plan to achieve goals
- Provides academic upgrading services to help individuals develop the necessary skills for entry into college based post secondary education and training programs (such as apprenticeship)
- Offers General Educational Development (GED) preparation
- Assists with transportation and child care funding if required
- Eligibility
- Must be 16 years of age and older
- Individuals requiring upgrading of skills
- Individuals who are out of school
- Special emphasis on individuals receiving social assistance through Ontario Works
