Search Agency Service

Description
Delivers child care and protection services, and family support services to community members
  • Acts as a family and children's services liaison between Temagami First Nation and the Children's Aid Societies from any location
  • Offers family and child support with home visiting, office visits and court attendance with child welfare issues within the district
Foster CareProvides the following services to families in the system:
  • Advocacy
  • Case management
  • Access services
  • Community resources
  • Referrals to other agencies and programs
  • Remains in contact with the family until services are accessed or until needed services are accessed and family can advocate for themselves
  • Provides assistance in the recruitment of new foster families within the community
  • Endeavours to keep children within their home communities
Prevention Services
  • Provides programs and services to children and youth to enhance their well being, including life skills mentoring, recreational activities, social activities and healthy lifestyles workshops
  • Provides educational programs and resources to parents and families to strengthen family units
