Description
Provides services that promote physical and mental health for community members
  • Provides health awareness and counselling, chronic disease management, education and prevention, especially in the areas of diabetes and alcohol/drug abuse
  • Coordinates clinics/workshops in areas that may include Blood Pressure, Environmental Health, Immunization, Sexual Health and Communicable Diseases
Addresses individual health care needs by providing:
  • Advocacy on behalf of individual with other health professionals
  • Coordination of pre-natal care and classes
  • Home visits to the sick, elderly, new mothers and persons with health care needs
  • Delivery of various health promotional programs such as the Annual Health Fair, Health Career Fair, Active Seniors and Diner's Club
  • Assistance with coordinating local and long distance travel arrangements for medical appointments

  • Transportation provided for events/workshops held at the Health Centre; contact office to make arrangements
