Description
Provides outreach mental health services to communities, schools and home visits
  • Incorporates a wholistic approach to client care that incorporates the spiritual, physical, emotional and mental needs of each individual
  • Supports traditional and cultural approaches to healing; mental healing and wellness activities include fishing, snaring, trapping, snowshoeing, eagle staff teaching and drum making
Services offered include:
  • Access to psychiatric consultations
  • Individual, family and group counselling
  • Follow-up and aftercare
  • Community education
  • Activities which promote healthy lifestyles
  • Support to community workers
  • Referrals to other mental health agencies and supports
Services are provided for the following priorities but not limited to:
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Gambling
  • Grief and Loss
  • Relationship issues
  • Self-esteem
  • Substance abuse
  • Suicidal ideation
Eligibility
Must be a member of the participating First Nations
