- Receives and processes municipal land sales
- Oversees municipal development initiatives
- Oversees the planning, designs and construction of Municipal Infrastructure, transportation and traffic engineering, investigations, and subdivision development control
- Provides information and guidance to the public relative to planning related issues
- Responsible for land use planning functions including updating the Official Plan and Zoning By-Law, and processing amendments to these documents
- Processes subdivision and condominium applications
- Prepares and negotiates Site Plan Agreements, Development Agreements and Notification Agreements
