Description
Functions as the governing office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities 

Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following:
  • Ontario First Nation Policing arrangements provided by UCCM Anishnaabe Police Service, headquarters in M'Chigeeng, ph: 705-377-7135 fx: 705-377-5583
  • Child & Family Protection Services (Prevention services delivered directly by community) provided by Kina Gbezhgomi Child & Family Services, head office in Wiikwemkoong First Nation
  • No official Public Works program; community members have Garbage/Recycling pick-up available Tuesdays and access to Little Current landfill site by showing AOKFN status card
  • Serviced by air through Manitoulin East Municipal Airport in Little Current
  • Provides a Library, Recreation Centre & Gym complex
  • Provides an Elder's Apartment Complex
  • Offers the Forever Young Elders Drop-In Centre, a Day Care Centre and Gunners Gas Bar & Store
  • Provides a fitness centre equipped with treadmills, rowing machine, weights and bicycle as well as showers, television and stereo
  • Offers several local private businesses such as Duke's Fish & Chips, MCI Construction, Brian Corbiere's Bussing, JS & Sons Auto Care, Thunderstorm Cleaning & Painting, Karen's Cakes & Crafts and Mnidoo Mnising Treasures and Things Consignment Store
  • Provides recreational facilities including 3 children's playgrounds, outdoor ice rink, horseshoe pits, tennis court and baseball field
  • Hosts an annual First Nation Traditional Pow Wow in June
  • Provides the Aundeck Omni Kaning First Nation Public Library
  • Offers a senior's drop-in centre, the Forever Young Elder's Centre
  • Provides health care and programs at Naandwegamik Health Centre
  • Administers the Negaan'abik Day Care Centre
