- Provides political advocacy services to the six member First Nations for lands and resources issues
- Provides technical and advocacy services regarding the conservation, protection and management of the natural resources within the United Chiefs and Councils of Mnidoo Mnising (UCCMM) traditional territory
- Offers advisory services to each member community about the potential development of those resources
- Supports each member community's decision making and economic participation with any resource development on their traditional territory
- Assists with the coordination of the Annual Fall Community Harvest and Hunt
