Description
Offers cultural programs and support services to Indigenous youth to empower them with making positive decisions
  • Assists Indigenous youth with completing their Plan of Action from the Justice Circle
  • Provides support for youth to fulfill their conditions of a Probation Order
  • Provides cultural programming and educational opportunities by facilitating teaching circles and workshops for all interested youth
  • Coordinates various activities such as seasonal medicine walks, hiking, snowshoeing, fishing, sweet grass harvesting, craft/sewing, and fire teachings
  • Recognizes hours of service for youth participation towards school or legal system community service hour requirements

Eligibility
Must belong to one of the member First Nations within the United Chiefs & Councils of Mnidoo Mnising Territory, either on/off-reserve
  • Indigenous youth between 12-25 years of age who are completing their Plan of Action as the result from a Justice Circle or
  • Have been found guilty and currently on Probation, conditional supervision or community supervision or
  • Are youth in any of the communities served simply interested in joining the activities
