Description
  • Provides a residential land-based treatment program created specifically to the needs of Indigenous youth and young adults struggling with mental health and addictions
  • Offers traditional culture with therapeutic best practices, education, life skills, and outdoor experiential learning
  • Utilizes Anishinabek teachings and traditions as key part of treatment for a connection to cultural identity and community in the healing and recovery process
Program components include:
  • Stabilization through treatment
  • Residential aftercare
  • Outpatient aftercare
  • Transition care back into the family and community

Eligibility
  • Indigenous youth and young adults in Northeastern Ontario between 19-30 years of age and struggling with mental health and addictions issues
  • Must be free of drug substances for a minimum of two weeks before admission and free of alcohol for one week prior to admission
Application Process
  • Open to referrals from any source
  • Initial contact by phone or email required, then enrolment package must be submitted prior to initial Intake
  • Completed application package required
