  • Lends toys, videos, and books as well as equipment such as playpens and strollers for use at home
  • Provides the opportunity to meet other parents and children
  • Provides access to a variety of educational toys and resources

Toy Lending Mobile Unit
  • Delivers educational toys and equipment to families with young children for free use up to two weeks
  • Determines toy selection by the age of the child and their stage of development
  • Offers a selection of toys for children with special needs as well

Eligibility
Members of Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory
  • Toy Library Resource Centre: Caregivers and families of children between 0-12 years of age
  • Mobile Unit: Caregivers and families of children 0-6 years of age


Residency Requirements: Mobile Unit catchment area is within 5–26 kms from Wiikwemkoong Reserve and includes the following areas: Murray Hill, Cape Smith, Wikwemikongsing, Kaboni, South Bay, Buzwah and Rabbit Island
Application Process
  • Toy Library Resource Centre operates on a drop-in basis
  • Equipment such as playpens and strollers are available for home use to a maximum of two weeks
  • Mobile Unit: Call Hub Centre to make arrangements for scheduled visit
