- Functions as the governing office for the community; oversees all community programs, services and facilities
Activities and services for community members also include but are not limited to the following:- Ontario First Nation Policing provided by Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service, a stand-alone police service incorporated in Mar 2001; 2074 Wikwemikong Way, ph 705-859-3141, fax 705-859-2656, toll-free 1-888-684-1136; also has a Wikwemikong Police Services Board
- Child & Family Protection Services (Prevention services delivered directly by community) provided by Kina Gbezhgomi Child & Family Services, head office in Wikwemikong First Nation
- Serviced by air through Manitoulin East Municipal Airport in Little Current
- Offers 2 shopping plazas and many businesses and services including a gas station, grocery store, confectioneries, video outlets, laundry facility, take-out pizza shop, pharmacy, thrift shop, bank agency, clothing store, a hardware store and several construction and heavy equipment contractors
- Offers a log home construction business and several sawmills
- Provides 4 churches of various denominations
- Provides Wiky TV 5, a local community television station
- Community is home to well-known artists, quill-box specialists, medicine men, and totem pole craftsmen
- Provides cultural tours and experiences through guided tours such as the Bebamikawe Memorial Trail, Manitoulin Island historical tour and "Bay of the Beaver" canoe tour
- Hosts the annual Wikwemikong Cultural Festival/Pow Wow usually held in early Aug
- Owns and operates the Rainbow Ridge Golf Course located off-reserve in Manitowaning
- Provides an elders centre known as Amikook Seniors' Centre and the Wikwemikong Nursing Home
- Offers Community Living Wikwemikong Anishinaabek
- Supports a Public Library
- Administers education services under the Wikwemikong Board of Education, including Wikwemikong Junior School, Wikwemikong Pontiac School, Wikwemikong High School, the Child Care Centre, an Anishinabe Curriculum Department, and the Adult Education Program
- Services and programs provided at Wikwemikong Development Commission include Aboriginal Skills and Employment Training Strategy, Business and Employment Resource Centre and Economic Development
- Provides Child and Family Services, as well as a Food Bank at the Wikwemikong Family Centre
- Provides health care through Wikwemikong Health Centre, a Walk-In Clinic and the Nadmadwin Mental Health Clinic
- Offers a Waasa Naabin Community Youth Services Centre
- Operates a Wikwemikong Heritage Organization for the preservation of Anishinaabeg culture; coordinates the Annual Cultural Festival
