Description
Operates a self government and is responsible for the day to day operations of the First Nation
  • Contracts fire protection services from the City of Kenora Fire and Emergency Services
  • Hosts the annual Honouring Our Children traditional powwow at the Wauzhushk Onigum owned Pow Wow Island
  • Owns and operates the on-reserve Golden Eagle Casino & Gaming Centre

  • Community is receiving $278,780 federal funding and $278,780 provincial funding through the Small Communities Fund under the Ministry of Economic Development, Employment & Infrastructure towards upgrading the drinking water infrastructure and the wastewater treatment system as announced Jul 2015
