- Access to all health care services through the Nursing Station located in Kasabonika Lake, 37 km NE of Wawakapewin First Nation (closest Nursing Station)
- Offers health care through a health team consisting of Community Health nurses, visiting Physicians and Home Care workers
- Provides health awareness and counselling, education and prevention workshops/clinics in areas that may include Child Care, Diabetes, Elderly & Chronic Disease, Immunization, Sexual Health and Communicable Diseases
- Treatment of on-going health problems
- Emergency services
- Advocacy on behalf of individual with other health professionals
- Coordination of one-on-one pre-natal care with the community health nurse
- Assistance with coordinating local and long distance travel arrangements for medical appointments
- Provides access to specialized medical care using videoconferencing and other tele-diagnostic equipment
- Allows specialists to remotely examine and prescribe treatments to patients in their home communities
- Allows consultations for patients with specialty services such as physio, diabetes, etc
- Provides opportunity for workshops and education sessions for staff and patients
- Reduces the need to travel to receive care
