Description
Provides advisory services with respect to all aspects of community infrastructure and capital planning
  • Assists with minor and major infrastructure projects related to electrical, roads, water and sewer, and residential and community-owned buildings
  • Includes assistance with completion of forms for consulting services, capital project applications, funding proposal submissions and various Indian & Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) reporting requirements
  • Provides assistance with the development of the Five Year Annual Minor Capital Plan
  • Provides professional management, budgeting and planning services for many community projects such as winter roads and construction projects

Advisory and support services provided in the following areas:
  • Architectural CAD Design & Engineering Applications
  • Contract Administration
  • Environmental Services
  • Housing Studies and Inspections

Inspection Services
  • Provides inspections for water treatment plant and sewage treatment plant systems, construction projects at various stages, above ground fuel storage tanks, Asset Condition Report Systems (ACRS) and for community structures
  • Offers building evaluations

Power Generation
  • Provides advisory services for diesel, hydraulic, wind, bio-mass and solar generation
  • Offers expertise about transmission lines and local power distribution

PC Network Support
  • Provides advisory support and services for PC network installation and related areas
  • Offers software training

Training Services
  • Provides workshops and training programs as needed
  • Programs can include but not limited to: carpentry, water and sewage installation, water plant operation, plumbing, construction safety and heavy equipment operation

  • Shibogama First Nations Council is a member of the Political Territorial Organization of Nishnawbe-Aski Nation (NAN)
  • All member communities belong to Treaty #9

Mon-Fri 8:30 am-12 noon, 1 pm-4:30 pm
Eligibility
Must belong to one of the member First Nations within the Shibogama First Nations Council territory
Application Process
Services are delivered to community members at the local level (Band Office)
