Description
  • Assists abused women in making the transition to an abuse-free life
  • Helps secure and maintain housing, and helps develop an individual safety and transitional plan
  • Supports women to live free from violence by connecting them with necessary community support such as housing counselling, parenting support, education upgrading, job training, income support, legal aid and health and wellness services
  • Prioritizes the safety and well-being of women and their children
  • Assists women in identifying the choices and resources available for them and their children
  • Provides follow-up and support upon departure of the shelter
  • Provides transportation to enable women to access services

Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal women and children who are in need of support or experiencing a crisis
